I’ve realized that when you’re having a bad day you just need a little encouragement to brighten up your day. One of the best things you can do is to give a little note to someone to just encourage them because you never know what kind of day they have been having.
The same thing comes to gift giving. Recently for basketball, we give gifts to girls on different levels before home games. I’ve realized that through this gift giving, giving gifts to others doesn’t have to be extravagant. You can just ask them what they really like, such as their favorite box of Girl Scout cookie or chip brand. Or it can be as simple as making a card out of construction paper and writing a meaningful note.
You never have to make anything complicated. You can just tell someone the simplest “I love you” before you leave for school in the morning because you don’t know if you’ll see them when you come home. Or you can tell them a simple “Thank you” when they pack you your brown bag lunch because you don’t know if they’ll pack you lunch for tomorrow.
Just keep the things simple and small, things never have to be extravagant and complicated!!
